Whether you’re new to sewing or have some experience, this DIY tutorial will guide you through the entire process. Plus, I’ll share my top tips and give you step-by-step instructions on how to bring your babydoll top to life.

Cutting the Pattern Pieces

Here’s a breakdown of the main pattern pieces you’ll need to cut:

• Front upper part – Cut 1 on the fold.
• Front lower part – Cut 1 on the fold.
• Back upper part – Cut 2.
• Back lower part – Cut 2.
• Strap ties – Cut 4.
• Shoulder straps – Cut 2.

Sewing the Front of the Top

Start by pinning the front upper part to the lower part with the right sides together. For a little flair, you can either gather the fabric or create some small pleats at this point. Once pinned, sew along the stitch line to join the two pieces.

Sewing the Back

Repeat the same steps for the back. With the right sides together, pin the upper part to the lower part of the back pieces and sew them together.

Sewing the Sides

Next, with the right sides together, pin the front and back pieces at the sides and sew. This will start to form the body of your babydoll top.

Sewing the Neckline
