Cropped jackets can feature various sleeve lengths, such as long sleeves, three-quarter-length sleeves, or cap sleeves, and come with different collar styles, including round, flared, snap collars, or no collar at all1. Seam Allowance

For this project, I recommend adding 1 cm | 0.4 in of seam allowance to all the edges of the pattern pieces. This will give you enough room to stitch the seams without compromising the fit.

You can use a ruler or a tape measure to mark the seam allowance on your fabric. Alternatively, you can use a special sewing tool called a seam gauge, which has markings for different seam allowances.

Adding seam allowance is a simple but essential step in sewing. It will ensure that top of your dress turns out the right size and shape.
