Materials & Tools Needed:
- A sewing machine, you’ll need a sewing machine that can handle different types of stitches, such as straight, zigzag, or overlock.

- Pins
- Measuring tape
- Seam ripper, learn how to use it here.
- Iron and ironboard

You will also need a magnetic seam guide or a magnet to help you sew evenly.
Suggested Fabric
Bucket hat can be made from various types of non stretchy heavy-weight fabrics : canvas and denin are the best. For light to medium-weight fabrics, such as plain or printed cotton, the use of medium-weight interfacing is recommended. This hat requires 1 yard/ 1 m of fabric.
If you want reversible hat (two fabrics) – 50cm/0.5 yard of main fabric + 50cm/0.5 yard of lining fabric.

Sizing Instructions
Tools and materials you need for measuring yourself
- A measuring tape
- A notebook and a pencil
- A mirror
- A friend or a helper (optional, but recommended)
To choose the best size , you need to measure your :
- Measure the circumference of your head where you want the hat to sit. if you want, you can add a little looseness to the pattern, example head circumference 56 cm + 1 cm
You may now utilize the size chart provided below to compare your measurements and choose the most suitable option. In case your measurement falls between two sizes, you have the flexibility to select the fit that suits your preference, whether it be slightly loose or fitted. Additionally, if necessary, you can make adjustments to the pattern to ensure it aligns with your true size.
